In Conversation with Simran Manna: The Girl Who Balances Camera, Content, and Civil Services Dreams
Reporter: Today, we have the multi-talented and incredibly dynamic Simran Manna with us. A familiar face to many on social media, she’s not just a creator but a dreamer with her feet grounded in both glamour and academia. Welcome, Simran!
Simran Manna: Thank you so much! Happy to be here.
Reporter: First things first — what inspired you to enter the entertainment industry?
Simran: Honestly, the obsession with being in front of the camera! It’s something I’ve always enjoyed. While many people inspire me daily, the decision to step into this industry was completely driven by my passion for creating something magical and staying on screen.
Reporter: That’s fascinating. Outside of your media presence, what are your hobbies?
Simran: I love dancing and reading books. And of course, content creation is a hobby turned profession now!
Reporter: You wear many hats, but what’s your ultimate aim?
Simran: I’m fully invested in the media and entertainment space. But there’s a nerdy side of me too — I enjoy studying and I’m actually preparing for the UPSC! It’s definitely tough managing both worlds, but hey — here I am doing it!
Reporter: That’s seriously impressive. Who would you credit for guiding you through this journey?
Simran: Without a doubt — my mother. All credits go to her. She’s my constant support and inspiration.
Reporter: What about your struggle story — care to share?
Simran: I honestly feel I haven’t reached a point where I can say I’m “successful” enough to share a full-blown struggle story. I’m still in that phase — working hard, growing. Maybe when I feel I’ve achieved something substantial, I’ll share the whole journey.
Reporter: Wise words. Now let’s shift gears — it’s summer-monsoon crossover time. What’s your mantra to stay fit and cool?
Simran: (laughs) My mantra is — “Create, Hydrate, then Levitate!” Because let’s be real — your content won’t go viral if you go flat! 😂
Reporter: Love it! And what’s your go-to food?
Simran: I’m a HUGE foodie. I honestly enjoy food across all categories. Just feed me good food and I’m happy!
Reporter: Any celebrity crushes?
Simran: Without even blinking — Ian Somerhalder. Enough said!
Reporter: And your fitness routine? Any diet you follow?
Simran: Oh yes, and I always say:
- Eat like you love yourself — not like you’re punishing yourself.
- Hydrate — like your Wi-Fi depends on it! 😂
- Don’t demonize carbs — they’ve just had bad PR.
- Protein is your bestie.
- Portion control isn’t a mood killer.
- Don’t drink your calories — unless it’s a smoothie or an occasional margarita!
Reporter: Let’s get a bit personal — tell us about your love life?
Simran: I’m a “lover girl.” I love love! But there’s no story yet… I hope someday there will be.
Reporter: And what kind of person are you drawn to?
Simran: Someone who’s candid, ambitious, romantic, well-behaved, and presentable. Honestly, I can write a full paragraph — but I’ll stop here! 😂
Reporter: You’ve done a lot of shoots. Any preferred type?
Simran: I love the whole lights-camera-action vibe! Music videos, emotionally driven scripts, high fashion shoots, and anything I emotionally connect with — those are my favorite.
Reporter: What about your fashion sense? Any summer style in mind?
Simran: Definitely! I’m planning to rock some bohemian styles this summer. Picture this:
- A Maxi Dress with floral or paisley prints
- Flowing fabric, tiered hem, and off-shoulder neckline
- Gladiator sandals, wide-brimmed hat
- Layered necklaces and oversized sunnies!
