The league stages of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will culminate at the Dubai International Stadium (DIS) on Sunday (March 2). The two semifinalists from Group A – India and New Zealand – will face off against each other to determine which team will finish on top in their group.
New Zealand are currently on top based on their superior net run-rate of 0.863 and as compared to India’s 0.647. Both India and New Zealand have a couple of wins each against Bangladesh and Pakistan and will look to enter the semifinals with an all-win record to their name.

The highest temperature on Sunday afternoon is expected to be around 26 degrees Celsius with modest humidity of around 41 per cent. It will be a gusty day in Dubai with winds up to 44kmph, which will keep players cool in the middle even in the afternoon.
By Sunday evening, the temperature will drop down to about 21 degrees with humidity only rising marginally to 47 per cent. There is not a lot of dew expected in Dubai in the second half of the contest if we go by what we have witnessed in India’s last two matches against Bangladesh and Pakistan here.

Dubai weather prediction for Sunday.
If we talk about the pitch in Dubai, it has been the most spin-friendly track in the entire ICC Champions Trophy 2025 till date. The spinners have an average of around 37.07 with economy rate of 4.36.
The batters have struggled to put the spinners away on this track and New Zealand have three quality tweakers in their line-up in skipper Mitchell Santner, Michael Bracewell and Glenn Phillips. Team India are likely to introduce Varun Chakravarthy in this match by resting either Kuldep Yadav or Ravindra Jadeja.
In the remote possibility of this match getting washed out by rain, New Zealand will top the group and will possibly face Australia, who finished in second place in Group B. The tournament has already witnessed three washed-out matches – two of them in Rawalpindi and one coming in Lahore. The Rawalpindi matches were abandoned without a ball getting bowled.
