New Delhi: The first day of the World Test Championship 2025 final (WTC Final 2025) between Australia and South Africa (Australia vs South Africa Match) was in the name of fast bowlers. Due to the sharp bowling of Kagiso Rabada (5/51) and Marco Jensen (3/49), the Australian team was all out for 212 runs in the first innings. By stumps on the first day, South Africa had scored 43 runs after losing 4 wickets. Earlier, South Africa was trailing Australia by 169 runs.

The incident happened after Verreynne was dismissed lbw, with Cummins taking a review and successfully overturning the umpire’s primary decision. The collision occurred as Cummins made a shout for the wicket and both players were fine after the incident.

Pat Cummins takes a fifer:
The wicket of Kyle Verreynne was then followed by the dismissal of Marco Jansen, who was caught and bowled by Pat Cummins in the 52nd over of the innings. Then things went out of the hands of the Proteas, wickets fell down and Pat Cummins shone after taking a fifer.
