He is now scoring under pressure, taking responsibility, playing the short ball well. Although Test cricket’s different, I would have had him in this series to see what he can do,” Ganguly told RevSportz.
Shreyas Iyer has played 14 Tests so far in his career. During this, he has scored 811 runs in 24 innings at an average of 36.86 and a strike rate of 63.01. He has 50 half-centuries as well as 1 century to his name in Tests. Shreyas Iyer last played a Test match in 2024. He was dropped from the team in the middle of the series against England. In Ranji Trophy 2024-25, he scored 480 runs in seven innings for Mumbai at an average of 68.57.
