The tug of war between ‘War 2’ and ‘Coolie’ continues at the box office. It has been a week since both films were released on 14 August. While Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’ has already become a part of the 200 crore club, now ‘War 2’ is also close to crossing this figure. Now with a collection of one week, ‘War 2’ has defeated Akshay Kumar’s hit film. ‘Coolie’ has broken the record of ‘Fighter’.
War 2 vs Coolie box office collection
‘War 2’ had an opening of Rs 52 crore at the Indian box office. The film managed to collect Rs 57.85 crore on the second day, Rs 33.25 crore on the third day and Rs 32.65 crore on the fourth day. The collection of ‘War 2’ on the fifth day was Rs 8.75 crore and on the sixth day it was Rs 9 crore.
‘War 2’ broke the record of ‘Sooryavanshi’
According to Sacnilk, ‘War 2’ has earned Rs 5.50 crores till 11 pm on the seventh day. The total collection of Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s film has now reached Rs 199 crore. With its one week’s earnings, ‘War 2’ has beaten the lifetime collection of Akshay Kumar’s hit film ‘Sooryavanshi’. The film had collected a total of Rs 195.55 crore at the box office.
How much did ‘Coolie’ earn in a week?
‘Coolie’ has been beating ‘War 2’ at the box office since the first day. Rajinikanth’s film earned Rs 65 crore on the first day. The film’s collection on the second day was Rs 54.75 crore and on the third day it was Rs 39.5 crore. ‘Coolie’ earned Rs 35.25 crore on the fourth day, Rs 12 crore on the fifth day and Rs 9.5 crore on the sixth day. Now the initial figures of the film’s seventh day have also come out.
Rajinikanth starrer film ‘Coolie’ has earned Rs 6.50 crores so far on the seventh day. The film’s total collection in seven days at the domestic box office has now reached Rs 222.5 crore. With this, ‘Coolie’ has defeated Hrithik Roshan’s hit film ‘Fighter’.The film ‘Fighter’ released last year had grossed a total of Rs 212.79 crore in India.
