Star Pakistan batter Saim Ayub falls for a duck for the second consecutive time in Asia Cup 2025.

New Delhi: Team India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya sent Saim Ayub to the pavilion with his very first legal delivery. Ayub disappointed once again and got out for a duck, without scoring any runs, for the second consecutive innings.
Hardik first bowled an inswinger which went towards the leg side. After this, the next ball was an outswinger, on which Ayub got confused and played the wrong shot while chasing the ball. The ball was back of a length and moving outside the off stump, which Ayub played towards point, and Jasprit Bumrah took the catch.
Before the high-voltage match against India, Saim Ayub had said that the team trusts each other completely and will decide the bowling combination according to the pitch. He had said that both he and the team will work hard, and no one’s performance can be predicted.
Disappointing start amid expectations
But Saim Ayub’s start on the field was not good at all. He disappointed his team by getting out on the first ball without scoring any runs. In this way, he got out for 0 runs in the second consecutive match, which is completely opposite to his statement of confidence.
That seemed quite easy 😅
