Weight loss is the bandwagon every is ready to hop on or is already riding it. Reducing weight for fitness purpose is essential but it is equally important to find the right sustainable methods. Despite the popularity, nobody says that weight loss journeys are easy. For women, it can be different than others. Melissa Gardener, a Utah based fitness influencer dropped around 22 kilos with sustainable methods. A mother of two, she documents her weight loss, her post partum weight loss journey as well.
In a recent post she shared how she lost 22 kg and what she would do all over again to lose it.
Weight Loss Tips to Lose 22kg
Her video, titled “If I had to lose 22 kg weight all over again, here is what I would do,” outlines varied strategies to navigate the weight loss journey.
- I would focus on making my protein meals dense so I can feel fuller faster and longer.
- I would add fiber in to also help with satiety (fullness) and gut health.
- I would add my favorite pre workout to make waking up easier.
- I would run 3 days a week, 2 short, one long and lift 3 days minimal.
- I would focus more on what I’m doing vs worrying about what others think about what I’m doing.
- I would remind myself how I didn’t gain the weight in 6 months and how it’ll take more than 6 months to come off.
- I would remind myself that this was a lifestyle and I was stepping into being a new healthier fitter version of myself and that routine matters, that I MATTER.
- I would remind myself who I am, I am the type of person who follows through on her word, especially to myself as often as I can.
- Lastly I would have someone teach me the skills that I lack to make this a priority when life seems to get in the way or too busy.
Melissa highlights in her posts that why taking that one step is essential. Sometimes a little is much better than nothing. In her words, “Something will ALWAYS be better than nothing. 10 minutes of a workout, getting a lettuce wrap over regular, taking 5,000 steps vs the 10k goal.” (sic)
These are few weight loss takeaways that Melissa learned along her journey and it worked for her. One must remember that every journey towards weight loss or fitness is different. It is your body that determine your diet and workout regimen.
