Watch: Chaos unfolds at Virat Kohli’s Ranji Trophy match as 3 pitch invaders disrupt play at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

New Delhi: Virat Kohli has become the third cricketer from Delhi to play 100 or more Test matches for India, joining the ranks of Ishant Sharma (105 Tests) and Virender Sehwag (104 Tests). This Ranji Trophy match marked Kohli’s first appearance in India’s domestic first-class competition in nearly 13 years, with his last outing coming in November 2012.
Kohli’s much-anticipated return to the Ranji Trophy saw him represent Delhi for the first time since 2012, during their final Group match against Railways at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on January 30. While fans were initially disappointed when he didn’t bat on Day 1, Kohli took to the crease on Day 2. Unfortunately, his innings was brief, lasting just 23 minutes as he scored 6 runs off 15 balls before being dismissed by Railways pacer Himanshu Sangwan. Sangwan’s delivery sent Kohli’s off-stump flying, much to the frustration of his fans.
On Day 3, Kohli faced an unexpected disruption when three pitch invaders approached him. Security swiftly intervened, handling the situation, and further updates are awaited.
