The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the schedule for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Sunday. The tournament will kick off on March 22 at Eden Gardens, where the reigning champions Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the schedule for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Sunday. The tournament will kick off on March 22 at Eden Gardens, where the reigning champions Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
The playoffs of IPL 2025 will take place from May 20 to May 25. Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator will be held on May 20 and 21, respectively, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
The tournament will wrap up at the iconic Eden Gardens, where Qualifier 2 and the final will be hosted in Kolkata.
On March 23, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will face Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Hyderabad. The two most successful IPL franchises, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI), will also meet on the same day.
Each team will play 14 matches in the league phase, totalling 70 matches. This season, 13 venues will host 74 games across 65 days.
CSK and MI will meet twice during the IPL 2025 season.
