New Delhi: Aaryapriya Bhuyan, a 19-year-old from Guwahati, experienced a surge in popularity after a video of her emotional response to MS Dhoni’s dismissal during an IPL match between CSK and RR went viral. This led to her becoming a popular meme and a significant increase in her Instagram followers, rising from 800 to over 300,000 in a short time. She has also secured brand endorsements with companies including Swiggy and Yes Madam.

Aaryapriya announced collaborations with Swiggy Instamart and Yes Madam on Instagram. One video shows her working with Swiggy Instamart, described as a project done “collab for a reason.” A second video, featuring a Yes Madam partnership, humorously links a disappointment over a cricket match (Dhoni’s dismissal) with receiving a complimentary service from the company.
