New Delhi: Fifties from Rachin Ravindra (65 ) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (53) went hard in power-play to set the base for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to chase down 156 and beat Mumbai Indians (MI) by four wickets in the third game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) IPL 2025 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium here on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Vignesh Puthur had an unforgettable debut for Mumbai, taking three wickets. He first dismissed Gaikwad after he had blasted his quickest 50 in IPL, off just 22 balls. Puthur then struck again in his following over, removing Shivam Dube for 9.

Noor Ahmed dominated the Mumbai Indians middle order, removing Tilak Verma (31), Suryakumar Yadav (29), Namn Dhir (17), and Robin Minz (3), while Deepak Chahar’s quickfire 29 off 15 balls helped MI finish at 155/9 in the first innings. MI’s innings suffered an early blow when Khaleel Ahmed dismissed Rohit Sharma for a duck. Attempting a flick shot, the former MI captain was caught by Shivam Dube at mid-on. Ahmed struck again, removing Ryan Rickelton, who was bowled out after playing a shot onto his stumps. R Ashwin then made his return, dismissing Will Jacks.
