Gujarat Titans beat Mumbai Indians by 36 runs

Sai Sudharsan scored a brilliant fifty (63) and the GT bowlers delivered a strong performance, leading Gujarat Titans (GT) to a 36-run victory over the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the ninth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, on Saturday.

Gujarat Titans (GT) set a target of 197, scoring 196/8 in their 20 overs, powered by a solid 63 off 41 balls from opener B. Sai Sudharsan. Contributions from captain Shubman Gill (38), Jos Buttler (39), and Sherfane Rutherford (18) helped push the score.

In reply, Mumbai Indians (MI) could only manage 160/6, with Suryakumar Yadav (48) and Tilak Varma (39) leading the charge.

For GT, Mohammed Siraj (2/34) and Prasidh Krishna (2/18) were the standout performers with the ball, while Kagiso Rabada (1/42) and R Sai Kishore (1/37) also contributed.

For MI, Hardik Pandya (2/29) marked his comeback after missing the first game, claiming two wickets. Trent Boult (1/34), Mujeeb Ur Rahman (1/28 in 2 overs), Deepak Chahar (1/39), and Satyanarayana Raju (1/40) each took one wicket.
