New Delhi: During a tense Gujarat Titans versus Mumbai Indians match, Hardik Pandya and R Sai Kishore, despite their off-field friendship, had a heated exchange. This occurred during Mumbai’s unsuccessful 197-run chase, a game which saw Gujarat win by 36 runs. Although the incident drew considerable attention, the two players reconciled after the match.

During the 15th over of Mumbai Indians’ innings, a confrontation occurred between Sai Kishore and Hardik Pandya. Following a scoreless delivery, Kishore’s intense glare provoked a strong verbal reaction from Pandya, including profanity. The two players briefly faced off before the umpires intervened to defuse the situation.

Following the game, the players reconciled during the traditional post-match handshake, sharing a hug and a laugh, thereby resolving their on-field disagreement.

Sai Kishore bowled four overs, taking one wicket for 37 runs, importantly dismissing Tilak Varma.

Hardik fails with bat as MI winless in first two matches
Hardik Pandya had a strong bowling performance, taking two wickets for 29 runs, but struggled with the bat, scoring only 11 runs from 17 balls against his previous team. His dismissal by Rabada in the 17th over significantly contributed to his team’s second consecutive defeat.

Gujarat Titans successfully defended a 196-run total against Mumbai Indians, restricting them to 160/6. Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj were instrumental in the victory, taking two wickets each. Siraj’s early strikes removed Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton, while Krishna dismissed key batsmen Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma in the middle overs.

Gujarat Titans (GT) secured a dominant win against Mumbai Indians (MI), continuing MI’s trend of early-season struggles. Prasidh Krishna and Sai Kishore turned the game in GT’s favor with crucial middle-over breakthroughs. Despite a brief heated exchange, Hardik Pandya and Sai Kishore shared a warm moment post-match. GT’s strategy of a black soil pitch paid off, with Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill ensuring a strong start. MI fought back through Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav, but Prasidh’s clever bowling halted their progress. A questionable batting order change further hurt MI, as GT comfortably clinched their first victory of the season.
