Hero MotoSports Team Rally delivers strong performance at Dakar 2025 with Nacho Cornejo securing 7th overall position after Stage 9, showcasing consistency and skill.

New Delhi: Hero MotoSports Team Rally, representing the world’s largest motorcycle and scooter manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, successfully completed the ninth stage at Dakar Rally 2025.
Nacho Cornejo, Hero’s star rider, delivered a strong performance, finishing with the 6th fastest time. As a result, he has maintained his 7th position in the overall standings, showcasing impressive consistency throughout the rally. Cornejo, a recent addition to the team, has consistently delivered stellar results, securing his spot in the top 10.
With increasing confidence in his bike, the Chilean athlete is now focusing on the final stages, aiming for a remarkable finish as the rally heads towards its concluding destination, Shubaytah.
A Tough Challenge in Stage 9
The 9th stage of the rally, covering 357 km of timed specials and 232 km of liaisons, was demanding for all competitors. The fast-paced terrain required riders to maintain high speeds to stay competitive across a 589 km course.
Stage 10, set to kick off tomorrow, promises even greater challenges with the rally moving east from Haradh into the dunes of the Empty Quarter. This stage will test riders’ endurance and technical skills across a total distance of 635 km, including 115 km of timed specials.
Rider’s Perspective
Nacho Cornejo shared his experience after Stage 9:
“We wrapped up Stage 9, and it was incredibly fast! I felt in perfect sync with my bike, posting strong times. However, I had a small navigation issue towards the end, slowing me down. Overall, it was a solid stage, and with three stages remaining, I’m excited to tackle the sandy dunes of the Empty Quarter and finish strong!”
