India’s Champions Trophy squad to be announced on January 11
According to Sports Tak, the deadline for teams to submit their squads for the 2025 Champions Trophy is set for January 12. Sources also suggest that India’s squad for the prestigious tournament is expected to be announced on January 11.
The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, eagerly awaited by cricket fans, will return after an eight-year hiatus. Featuring eight teams and 15 thrilling matches, the tournament will adopt a hybrid model. Recently, the ICC revealed the Champions Trophy 2025 schedule, with the highly anticipated group-stage match between India and Pakistan set for February 23 in Dubai.
The eight participating teams in the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 will be split into two groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the semi-finals. The round-robin format will decide the finalists, with the tournament starting on February 19 and concluding on March 9.
India’s Champions Trophy journey will commence on February 20, facing Bangladesh. However, the spotlight will be on the thrilling encounter between India and Pakistan, scheduled for February 23 in Dubai.
The semi-finals are set for March 4 and 5, with the grand finale taking place on March 9. In the event India reaches the semi-finals and final, both matches will be hosted in Dubai. If India fails to make it to the knockouts, Pakistan’s Gaddafi Stadium will take over as the venue, in line with the hybrid model.
