Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals will have to be satisfied with one point each from match no. 58 of the IPL 2025 season at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala on Thursday. The match was called off mid-way through the 11th over with the floodlights being shut off abruptly.
Both teams as well as all IPL officials and support staff were immediately evacuated from the HPCA Stadium. The BCCI informed that the game was forced to be abandoned due to a significant technical failure at the HPCA stadium in Dharamsala. “Due to a power outage in the area, one of the light towers at the HPCA stadium malfunctioned. BCCI regrets the inconvenience caused to the in-stadium attendees,” a statement read.
Punjab Kings next match in Dharamsala against Mumbai Indians on Sunday (May 10) has already been shifted to Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad by the BCCI.
