New Delhi: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) paid tribute to cricket icons Misbah-Ul-Haq and Inzamam-Ul-Haq by inducting them into its Hall of Fame before the Pakistan vs New Zealand ODI series. In the opening match of the tri-nation series against New Zealand, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi awarded the two former cricketers with special caps and plaques. The duo then proudly paraded around the stadium, receiving a warm and enthusiastic response from the spectators.

Inzamam and Misbah were selected for the PCB Hall of Fame’s 2024 class, joining Saeed Anwar and Mushtaq, who have not been officially inducted yet. The prestigious Hall already celebrates cricket legends such as Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, and Javed Miandad.

Inzamam, Pakistan’s all-time leading run-scorer in ODIs with 11,701 runs and third on the Test charts with 8,829 runs, thanked PCB for the honor, expressing his pride in the recognition. Misbah, who guided Pakistan to the top spot in Test cricket in 2016, also shared his appreciation, describing the moment as a source of great pride to be acknowledged alongside Pakistan’s cricketing legends.
