New Delhi: Rohit Sharma powered his way to a 30-ball half-century, picking up right where he left off before his aggressive start was interrupted by faulty stadium lights in Cuttack. The Indian opener appeared to have overcome his recent struggles and was showcasing his best form when the lights malfunctioned, disrupting India’s chase of 305. At 48/0 in 6.1 overs, India’s innings was halted, with the lights turning off after the sixth over and briefly returning for one delivery of the seventh. However, after another delay, just as Saqib Mahmood prepared to bowl, the lights went out again. At the time of the interruption, Rohit had made 29 runs off 18 balls, including one boundary and three sixes, while Shubman Gill had scored 17 runs off 19 balls with three fours.
