New Delhi: Yash Dayal opens up on RCB players uniting and helping Virat Kohli achieve IPL glory, says ‘whatever is done for him is very less’
The victory of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2025 IPL final against Punjab Kings, by only six runs, has led to big celebrations around the city. Players who looked up to Virat Kohli as kids are especially pleased to have him as a teammate.
RCB’s first IPL championship was especially meaningful for the team, as it gave experienced player Virat Kohli his first IPL trophy in 18 years. Team members enthusiastically celebrated as Kohli reacted emotionally and let his emotions flow with tears.
According to RCB player Yash Dayal, who played alongside Virat Kohli in the last two seasons, everyone understands how important the team is.
“Whatever is done for Virat bhaiya is very less. He has given this franchise 18 years and has seen so many ups and downs. And we are very happy to have won the trophy and want to repeat it in the future also,” said Dayal in an interview with Times of India.
For IPL 2025, RCB retained Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar and Yash Dayal. Dayal, who made a big difference in the team’s championship victory, held the opposition to five runs in a key 18th over, making it easier for RCB to win.
