The chaos of Khosla ka Ghosla is set to return, this time with Huma Qureshi in the mix and a fresh script locked in.

It’s the film that quietly made its way into people’s hearts and stayed there. Khosla Ka Ghosla, the 2006 slice-of-life comedy starring Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Ranvir Shorey, Vinay Pathak and Tara Sharma, didn’t roar at the box office instantly, but its slow-burn success turned it into a bona fide cult classic. Now, 19 years later, it’s getting a sequel.
According to a Pinkvilla report, the makers have locked the script for Khosla Ka Ghosla 2, and are eyeing a shoot by the end of 2025. The film will be helmed by Umesh Bist and promises to retain the comic spirit of the original.
Who’s joining the Khosla clan this time?
In a fresh update, Huma Qureshi has reportedly been finalised as one of the main leads. A source close to the project revealed, “Huma has heard the script and liked it. She’s on board for one of the central roles.” The sequel is expected to go on floors by November 2025, and will likely hit theatres sometime in 2026. The production is said to be backed by T-Series, though formal announcements are still awaited.
Will the original cast return?
While nothing has been officially confirmed, early buzz suggests that both Anupam Kher and Boman Irani are not just returning—but might also be involved in the film’s production.
Back in 2006, the story revolved around Kamal Khosla (played by Anupam Kher), an ordinary middle-class man trying to reclaim his land from a cunning property dealer, Khurana (played by Boman Irani). It was sharp, funny, and quietly reflective of Delhi’s middle-class anxieties.
The film won the National Award for Best Feature Film (Hindi) and continues to enjoy fan love on OTT platforms. With a mix of nostalgia and new energy, the sequel is being pitched as a complete comic entertainer—and audiences are already curious how the story will be updated for 2026.
