In a recent interview, Shubhi Joshi disclosed that she had developed an emotional connection with a contestant from Bigg Boss 19, accusing him of playing a deceptive game and allegedly double-dating her.

Bigg Boss 19 continue to captivate viewers with high-voltage drama, fiery clashes and unexpected revelations. Recently a major controversy has came up after Shubhi Joshi, without directly naming anyone, opened up about her history with a current BB19 contestant- sparking strong speculation that she was hinting at choreographer and content creator Awez Darbar.
Were Shubhi Joshi and Awez Darbar dating?
In a explosive interview with Filmygyan, Shubhi exposed that she became close to the contestant between August and December last year. She shared that they have known each other for three years after their first meetup at a modelling event, but their connection grew stronger only recently. “At that time, I thought he was dating someone. I even asked him, ‘On your social media it looks like you are with someone.’ He denied it, saying it was just because social media works better for them together. He told me they were not dating,” Shubhi said.
Shubhi mentioned that she had been “innocent” at the time, stressing that she was never fond of casual relationships. She alleged that Awez made her feel special and assured that their relationship wasn’t just a “fling.” Even though with the distance, with him in Mumbai and her in Bengaluru, they managed to stay in touch for three years.
Shubhi confessed that following her reality show experience, she was in a vulnerable position and the contestant became her emotional support. “I was extremely vulnerable and then he was he felt like home because he told me a lot of things. He was there for me when I used to feel sad. Then, it somehow how turned into seeing scene where we were seeing each other we did not commit. I was genuinely very attached to him. He also kept leading me on.” She explained.
Did Awez Darbar cheat on Shubhi Joshi?
However, the scenario quickly changed. Shubhi exposed that the contestant suddenly became distant, claiming work pressure. Later, she found out he had been messaging one of her close friends, asking to meet. When she confronted him, he admitted that he did so because their relationship wasn’t working out, and he wanted to hurt her.
Following the incident, Shubhi cut ties with him. Expressing the whole incident, she said, “I just hope that whatever is happening inside Bigg Boss right now is genuine, at least now. I hope it’s not merely for content or hashtags. I truly wish he has learned from his past mistakes. But what I observe is insincere gameplay; he is acting like someone he is not.”
With these shocking speculations, many think Shubhi’s remarks point to Awez Darbar, who is currently inside BB19 house. While neither him nor his close associates have commented on the whole matter yet, but the disclosure has generated a fresh layer of curiosity to the ongoing reality show.
