
New Delhi: Indian cricket team‘s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja recently shared an old and memorable incident when he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time. This meeting took place in 2010 during an international match in Ahmedabad.
First meeting in Ahmedabad
Jadeja said, “Our match was against South Africa, and both the teams were standing in a line on the field. Modi Ji was the Chief Minister of Gujarat at that time. He was formally meeting the players.”
When Dhoni introduced me to Modi Ji
Jadeja further said, “When my turn came, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who was our captain at that time, introduced me. Then Modi Ji smiled and said — ‘Take care of him… he is our boy.’ I was surprised and happy to hear this.”
